California's economy can't really stabilize until the foreclosure crisis is resolved.
Yesterday I was honored to be on a call with America's leading mayors and the US Conference of Mayors to talk about a huge problem affecting cities from coast to coast: the foreclosure crisis.
I've been talking about how a family is losing their home every 13 seconds for awhile now and the recent failure by Congress to enact bankruptcy reform to protect homeowners because of industry pressure was a real blow to stopping that clock.
But the failure in Washington isn't going to stand in the way of ACORN's push to address the crisis at the heart of the economic meltdown and teaming up with some of the leading mayors in the United States is a major way we're moving forward to help families stay in their homes.
(I'm not a big fan of Prop 11. lindasutton does a good job of explaining the beast. - promoted by Brian Leubitz)
TRUTH NOW on Proposition 11...
... the fake redistricting reform brought to you by Gov. Schwarzenegger and his wrong-wing Republican gang
Want to live in a Red State? Want to have gridlock on redistricting in addition to the budget? Want to have the Republicans put in charge of "protecting" our coastline?
This is the reality of the so-called "Voters First" proposition being put on the ballot this year by Arnold and his Republican fat cat cronies. The only "voters" who are elevated will be the Republicans who are attempting to circumvent their declining registration statewide by fooling the voters into the idea that Prop 11 is "independent" and "non-partisan." You've got to hand it to them. They come up with such good titles that mean exactly the opposite!!!
Was that title a bit too graphic? Well, how else can you describe this image? It seems the Governator and Mayor Mike have developed quite the relationship. Now, they are fawning over each other and the presidency.
UPDATE: Todd, over at MyDD just noted that Bloomberg has left the GOP, making an independent run more likely.
