How do you wake up Diane Feinstein?

by: amitxjoshi

For the past several months, I've been writing to Feinstein asking her to show some leadership in the progressive movement.  She is, after all, a senator from California!
amitxjoshi :: How do you wake up Diane Feinstein?
I've requested her to support Sen. Feingold's censure resolution, speak out on the Iraq war, denounce NSA wiretaps, support Ned Lamont, ...

All I've ever got back from her are form replies.  I once called her SF office, and the staffer there got annoyed that I wanted her to support Feingold!

It's too late to send her a message with a credible primary challenge, but surely something can be done?  She still hasn't come out and announced her support of Ned Lamont!

Poll
Can Feinstein be woken up?
Yes, let's vote Green!
Yes, let's all write letters!
No, it's too late this cycle. See u in 5 years!
What for, she's doing fine!
Actually, Boxer needs to be toned down!

I have no idea.

There's something disturbing to me about how our representatives can seem "disturbed" by the views of their own citizens.

Lamont won the votes of CT Democrats.  That should be a no brainer.

I wish I could get more Californians to take you poll, ... (0.00 / 0)
I wish we could see how many people would vote Green. Is there a candidate from the Green Party running for that Congr. Seat?
I can't tell you how many "Form" letter I received from her office.  So many start with "We are going to have to agree to disagree on this subject".  Who the hell does she thinks she is?  It is not what she thinks is right it is what her constituents want.  Right?  That is what "Represent" means.
I would love to see Feinstein retire.  She just looks like she is pissed off because she is getting older.  She probably tells her grandkids to call her "Nanna" not Grandma.  :-o
Okay, now I am slipping off the deepend.  I will stop.

I am going to post your poll on some chatt spots and see if we can get more people to vote.  I hope that is okay with you.  I would just like to see how many are willing to vote.

Thanks again

The people may cast their votes, but what is important is who counts the votes.

Mercury News has Feinstein supporting Lamont (0.00 / 0)
"California's two Democratic senators, Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein, supported Lieberman in the primary but both now back Lamont as the party's nominee."

http://www.mercuryne...

I'm glad to see it.  If Senator Feinstein could be motivated to go on the offensive, just imagine.  The rule of law is something every Democrat should be howling about.

I'm union staff, but not a spokesperson for my union - all posts represent my views solely.

Really? (0.00 / 0)
There's precious little detail in that article about exactly how Feinstein is supporting Lamont.  In fact, just that bare statement that both senators are now supporting Lamont.

We know Boxer came out in support very, very shortly after Lamont won the primary.  The news was reported in various news outlets.  But what about Feinstein's announcement?  Haven't seen it mentioned anywhere (yet)!
