will be at the Westin St. Francis.  That is where I will be.

Anyone starting a party before 8:01 deserves to be roundly denounced and harassed into changing the start time.

I have heard of 2 within the last day.

Orange County (8.00 / 1)

Gary and I will be going to the Democratic Party of Orange County's party at Sutra Lounge in Costa Mesa.  We've already secured the tremendous care of Grandma for Charlotte and RSVP'd.  I hear it's going to be a zoo, I hate crowds, but I am coming out to say we're proud Democrats.  Keep your fingers crossed for Gary, even if he doesn't win, I'm hoping he at least scares the Republicans a bit down here in the Big Orange.

I'll still be in my polling place. After 8, we have to:

 * print out the totals on the voting machines
 * disassemble the machines
 * count the paper ballots
 * verify that the total voted ballots match the total roster signatures
 * fill out a bunch of paperwork
 * return everything to the county election office

none of which can begin until the last person who was in line at 8:00 has voted.

this typically takes until 9.30 or later.
