Obama hits the stage

Obama's taking the stage now, and the reception is way different than when Hillary hit the floor this morning.  Hillary had her supporters in place for her entrace, but folks are in full sprint to get a picture of Senator Obama.  This is what genuine enthusiasm looks and sounds like.

[Update] This crowd is electric and Obama is on fire.  I have to wonder...Obama followed Nancy Pelosi, Hillary followed the introduction of state party officers and dead air when the introduction started before she was ready.  Has to help, but Obama's clicking.

In everyone's comments here, as opposed to the Hillary speech. He's doing a much better job of connecting with you folks than Hillary appears to have done.

should be interesting.  He has had the crowd on their feet at one point.  He builds from quiet statements, all the way up to testing the limits of the sound system.  Where Clinton was hoarse, he was booming.

His use of the word "we" when he discusses the run-up to the Iraq war puts him in an entirely different league.

I think he's hit the tone of the crowd (0.00 / 0)
Yesterday and this morning, this convention is full of people who are angry, frustrated, and motivated.  Hillary tried to be calm and reasonable, Obama seems to understand exactly the kind of emotion coursing through this building.  He's making it clear that he's ready for a fight.

Today's "Turn the Page" speech will be an instant classic, word of this speech is going spread like wildfire online.
