Is this a good thing? Berman endorsed by Lieberman, Graham and McCain

Republican(ish) Senators endorse Howard Berman in race with Brad Sherman

by Brian Leubitz

I suppose this is a good thing for Howard Berman? Maybe?

Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., as well as Sen. Joe Lieberman, I-Conn., have endorsed Berman, his campaign said Monday. ...

"Howard Berman understands how to reach across the aisle to get things done on behalf of our nation," Graham said in a statement released by the Berman campaign. "He works hard every day to advance America's agenda and has been instrumental in passing laws to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons, stop arms sales to nations that support terrorism, and keep our country safe."

I guess this might net him a few votes, but I can't imagine it is going to tip the scales in one way or another. Just seems kind of strange.

Too bad
Couldn't Howard Berman get the endorsements of Dick Cheney and George W Bush, too ?

Let me guess, Berman probably supported the Iraq War and the Afghan War and a war against Iran.....

Maybe Sarah Palin or Rush will endorse him

GO What/s=his=name !!
(whoever is running against Berman)

Vote for Sherman (0.00 / 0)
With endorsements for Berman like that, If I were living in His district I'd vote for the other guy too.

It's a strange election (0.00 / 0)
Both candidates are reaching "across the aisle" for support.... Sherman backers include Los Angeles City Councilman Mitch Englander, and his predecessor, Greig Smith, plus Burbank City Councilman Gary Bric and Assemblyman Cameron Smyth of Santa Clarita.   All Republicans I believe.

So it's Sherman and his local Repugs vs. Berman and his national Repugs.... like I said, strange.

Local versus national (0.00 / 0)
But it also should be pointed out that both candidates sought support from the elected officials who are endorsing their opponent and for different reasons didn't get it.
