(CA-45) Boxer and Miller for Roth, Oh My!

I had a date with my husband to see Jackson Browne open for Tom Petty last night.  I stood him up for Senator Barbara Boxer, Rep. George Miller and David Roth at the Smoketree Room in the Palm Springs Convention Center.  Photo by Omar Ornelas, The Desert Sun.

They were electrifying.  All Democrats should be as clear and strong as Miller and Boxer are, and thankfully, Roth is one of them.

(I heard the concert was amazing, too.)  Boxer lives here and votes here now, another boost for Democrats in the 45th.  Senator Boxer was thrilling, a woman of valor, as always.  Rep. Miller had us clapping and stomping, but he's wary of the evil eye, as we all should be.  David was ebullient (the room was packed), but still dead serious.  We have to outwork them, they all said, because we need David in Washington.  It just feels so good to be a Democrat this week, I believe we will.   Everybody get on the Roth-mobile, we're about to stun a Republican enclave.  Get David Roth there with your cash here

Roth is an Emerging Race (0.00 / 0)
by official count, though we the volunteers could have told Rahm that months ago.

This is the biggest and most enthusiastic race in this district ever, for Democrats and Republicans.

Roth is getting lobbied for his committe votes already.  Pu, pu, pu - spit through fingers.  But the calls did occur.  Democrats are gearing up for majority realignment.

Btw, The Desert Sun endorsed Mary Bono today, as we knew they would.  The editorial board is safely afloat in the Bush bubble, as the text of the endorsement reflects.  Shorter version:  “We’re disappointed with a few things, but we don’t think her pony should be taken away.  She’s still a good girl.”  Vapid supporters for a vapid Rubberstamper.

Roth's indictment of Bush/Bono's war adventure:  Blow Over

Hopefully some of these emerging races (8.00 / 1)
will get some national attention as the final days of Speaker Haster approach.

I think?

INLAND REACTION: GOP House members support the speaker. Democrat Baca sees a cover-up.

Federal lawmakers who represent the Inland area divided along party lines, with Republicans supporting House Speaker Dennis Hastert and Democrats criticizing his handling of the page scandal.
Republican Reps. Mary Bono, of Palm Springs, Ken Calvert, of Corona, Darrell Issa, of Vista, and Jerry Lewis, of Redlands, each said they support Hastert.

She also told the PE earlier that Bush's mideast policy has "made inroads against terrorists."  She is 100% out of touch.

wow what a group... (0.00 / 0)
Nobody sane would want to be on that short list (that they all support Hastert is just the icing on the bad cake)
