..when Pooch went after him on Oakland crime, but I think you're right about Pooch's chances this November.  He is the equivalent of what Dan Lungren was when that guy ran for Governor.  Plus, this debate didn't really get much viewership--the people who check it out on the net are probably partisans on either side who's preference is already locked in.

But Brown's going to need to go to the airwaves and just keep reminding folks that Pooch has opposed assault weapons bans and is not pro-choice.

I would actually avoid saying Pooch's name, instead say "Jerry Brown is the only candidate who opposes 50mm ammunition."  I wouldn't give him any free name ID.
